"Discite a Me"
(Learn from Me) Matthew: 11:29 At Saint Anthony of Padua School, we embrace Jesus as our primary teacher, and our days center around learning from Him. Our school motto, from the verse "Discite a Me" ("Learn from Me"), points us to the heart of learning. The English word "learn" itself traces its origins to the Latin verb "discere," which also gave rise to the term "disciple." In this light, we consider ourselves disciples, or learners, following in the path of Christ.

From the Principal
Catholic education is the cultivation of wisdom and virtue by nurturing the soul on truth, goodness and beauty so that, in Christ, the student may know, glorify and enjoy God. This defines our method and goal at St. Anthony of Padua school. How can this be done with children? As Catholics, we are heirs to a rich cultural heritage, and we seek to draw on this deposit of truth and beauty to form our students' souls so that they are set on a course to ultimately enjoy God. This is a communal effort with parents and parish. What a great blessing it is to be able to engage together in such an important project!
