STORY OF THE WEEK

Dear St. Anthony of Padua School Families,

We are excited to announce that this year, our school is placing a special emphasis on “Virtues” as an integral part of our school culture. As part of our commitment to Classical education, we are placing stories and narratives at the forefront of our approach. We warmly encourage you to join us in guiding your children along this journey.

Every week, we will be sending home a short story for you to read aloud to your children, fostering meaningful conversations about the narrative and its connection to the virtue of the month. To kickstart this dialogue, consider beginning by reading the story aloud and asking your child to retell it, looking for a good recall of characters and the sequence of events. You can also inquire about their thoughts on the characters and other aspects of the story. Over time, delve into discussions about the virtue of the month and how it relates to the story.

The virtue for the month of April is “Faith”.

We hope that this initiative will create a beautiful bond between you and your children.

Warm regards,

Ms. Ayre

Parent Participation Program

The St. Anthony of Padua School Parent Participation Program (PPP) is an essential component of our school’s day-to-day operation and helps create an efficient and nurturing environment for our children. This program also keeps our tuition rates reasonable, builds community and is one of the ways parents can share in their children’s experiences at our
school. We encourage parents to take an active role in our school, and we appreciate your support.

  • Each family who has opted-in for this program needs to complete 40 PPP hours AND attend at least TWO Parent Enrichment Talks offered during the school year.
  • Uncompleted hours will be charged at a rate of $15.50 per hour. There will be a charge of $38.75 per missing Parent Enrichment Talk.
  • Families have an option to opt out (not participate) in the Parent Participation Program and are required to pay a $700 non-participation fee.
