We are excited to announce this year’s Book Fair with Hester of Classical Education Books.
Once upon a time, Hester accidently sold a few books to some friends. Then she sold some more and then more. Classical Education Books started in the basement of her home, but it grew and then grew some more. CEB is now located in Abbotsford, BC and she has more recently launched Abbotsford’s newest local bookstore – Love Your Story Bookshop.
Hester van Braeden is an expert in the world of classical education and children’s literature. Some of you may remember her visit earlier in the school year when she came to speak to our Kindergarten parents. Hester is passionate about setting others up for success. Her approach to classical education is not about just checking off the boxes or finishing the book. It’s about relationships, character-building through literature, and finding the good, the true, and the beautiful in all things. As Jim Trelease says, “What we teach children to love, and desire will always outweigh what we make them learn.”
At this year’s Book Fair, Classical Education Books will be bringing a selection of quality literature and stories sure to capture your child’s imaginations and their hearts.
